In Göda (LK Bautzen) sprachen am Mittwochabend Vertreter des Aktionsbündnisses Oberlausitz - z.B. Marcus Fuchs, Philipp Hartel, Veit Gähler und Eckhard Schumann - ebenso, wie der Vorsitzende der FREIEN SACHSEN, Martin Kohlmann. Eigens aus Brandenburg angereist war Gastredner Andreas Kalbitz. Wie überall, wo die "Jetzt kommen wir!" - Veranstaltungsreihe Station macht, war die Stimmung auch in der Oberlausitz bestens. Und es geht direkt weiter!
Am Freitag (10. Mai) beginnt um 19 Uhr in der Gaststätte Elli Krößner in Hartmannsdorf (Untere Hauptstraße 45) die nächste Veranstaltung - mit dabei sind Martin Kohlmann und Peter Schreiber. Nächste Woche geht es dann in Roßwein (15. Mai) und Grimma (16. Mai) weiter, nähere Infos folgen.
Von heute an ist es noch genau ein Monat bis zum Wahltag am 9. Juni. Die Zeit ist reif, jetzt kommen wir!

Telegram hopes to raise $1bn with a convertible bond private placement
The super secure UAE-based Telegram messenger service, developed by Russian-born software icon Pavel Durov, is looking to raise $1bn through a bond placement to a limited number of investors from Russia, Europe, Asia and the Middle East, the Kommersant daily reported citing unnamed sources on February 18, 2021.The issue reportedly comprises exchange bonds that could be converted into equity in the messaging service that is currently 100% owned by Durov and his brother Nikolai.Kommersant reports that the price of the conversion would be at a 10% discount to a potential IPO should it happen within five years.The minimum bond placement is said to be set at $50mn, but could be lowered to $10mn. Five-year bonds could carry an annual coupon of 7-8%.
Spiking bond yields driving sharp losses in tech stocks
A spike in interest rates since the start of the year has accelerated a rotation out of high-growth technology stocks and into value stocks poised to benefit from a reopening of the economy. The Nasdaq has fallen more than 10% over the past month as the Dow has soared to record highs, with a spike in the 10-year US Treasury yield acting as the main catalyst. It recently surged to a cycle high of more than 1.60% after starting the year below 1%. But according to Jim Paulsen, the Leuthold Group's chief investment strategist, rising interest rates do not represent a long-term threat to the stock market. Paulsen expects the 10-year yield to cross 2% by the end of the year.
A spike in interest rates and its impact on the stock market depends on the economic backdrop, according to Paulsen. Rising interest rates amid a strengthening economy "may prove no challenge at all for stocks," Paulsen said.
